FAQ

What is a "guessr" game?

Popularized by GeoGuessr, you the player are dropped into a 3D photosphere and have to drop a pin on mini-map to guess where that photosphere is.

How did you do this for a 20+ year old game?

Patience and a lot of cloudy pots! I would go to a location and take six screenshots that I then stitched together in Photoshop to make a panaroma.

Why EverQuest?

When I saw a guessr game come out for World of Warcraft on LostGamer, I knew that the EQ community needed their own special version.

Will there be a Leaderboard?

Short answer no. Leaderboards and multiplayer have a large overhead of server cost, user accounts, preventing bots, preventing cheating.. and I don't have the spare time to implement all that.

What about more expansions, like Luclin or Planes of Power?

Since EQ doesn't have a minimap, and is very 3D based (multiple stories, underground, etc), I had to rely on the old EQAtlas hand drawn maps, and those don't exist beyond a few low level zones in Luclin and nothing at all for PoP.
